Printed for the Education Development Department in 1967 to promote education and awareness of the Netsilik Inuit.
Dimensions 16" x 20". The frame measures 28.5" x 20.5".
Good vintage condition. Distressed frame.
This is an educational photograph that was printed to be displayed. It has a thin film of plastic covering the image. Pin holes at the extreme corners can be seen when out of the frame.
This is a rare image from the 1960s. A great vintage find!
The Netsilik Inuit live predominantly in Canada. They were, in the early 20th century, among the last northern indigenous peoples to encounter missionaries from the south.
