This lovely Mexican coin charm is made from a 1945 Two and a Half Pesos gold coin.

The coin is 90% gold, making it 22 karat. The bale added is 18 karat yellow gold. Bust of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla facing left as well as the denomination and the date features on one side of the coin, with the old arms of Mexico and "Estados Unitos Mexicanos", Latin for United Mexican States on reverse. The original weight of the coin was 2.0833 grams, with the bale the charm now weighs 2.3 grams. The coin has a diameter of 15.5 mm and it is 0.86 mm thick. The total length of the charm with the bale is 22.49 mm. This design coin was in standard circulation from 1918-1948. It is in great condition.
