A gorgeous Victorian curb link bracelet - this one is pretty special !!

The lovely, intensely buttery yellow colour of the gold caught our attention, it is so nice to have something classic but with the difference. These bracelets are usually found in rose gold, we were so very pleased to find this one !

The fancy, chased link has a three dimensional design. This superb bracelet has a gorgeous patina and it adds greatly to its wonderful look, as it enhances the design of the link. Made in England around 1890 in 9 karat gold it is hallmarked with the same mark "9c." both on every link of the bracelet itself and the padlock. It is lovely to see as it means the padlock is original to the bracelet. The padlock is also stamped with a maker's marks "CDB" for Charles Daniel Broughton which dates it to 1896-1898. He was a gold and silver chain maker, based in St Paul's Square, Birmingham. The bracelet can also be worn the plain side up, making it a very versatile piece of jewellery.

The bracelet is generous in size at 8 inches in length and could easily be made smaller by taking out a link or two. It is 8.76 mm wide and weighs 14 grams. The beautifully chased padlock measures 21.23 by 13.15 mm and closes securely with a nice , tight snap. It also has a 9 karat gold original safety chain for added security. The bracelet is in wonderful antique condition.
