We adore this luscious Victorian curb link bracelet - deliciously chunky in stunning rose gold !

She is hand crafted in a classic and much loved Victorian design in 1908 - as fabulous design is timeless !! We were so happy to find her, those links are so magnificently large !

This superb bracelet has a gorgeous patina, the unmistakable antique rose gold colour and a wonderful look with a superb impact. It is fully hallmarked and stamped on every link, a sign of great quality, with "9C" for English 9 karat gold. and a full hallmark for Birmingham 1908 on the padlock. The padlock is also stamped with a maker's marks "S.B&SLd" for S Blanckensee & Son. They were jewellers based in Frederick Street & Great Hampton Street, Birmingham, the biggest centre of jewellery production in England at the time. They started their business in 1884 and continued until 1940 using slightly different hallmarks. The exact year of when the bracelet was made is determined by the year date letter included in the hallmark. As all her links are hallmarked on one side she can be worn the plain or hallmarked side up, making her a very versatile piece of jewellery.

The bracelet is generous in size at 8 inches in length and could easily be made smaller by taking out a link or two. She is a fabulous 12.24 mm wide and weighs 27.2 grams ! The padlock measures 25.28 by 16.47 mm and closes securely with a nice, tight snap. It has a small dent to the top on one side, not noticeable when worn and a 9 karat gold original safety chain for added security. The bracelet is in wonderful antique condition.
