Antique Duck Decoy with Stand
Found cleaning out an old barn that was being sold. I wasn’t the first dealer to get in there, but there were a lot of items missed. This decoy was tucked up under the rafters just waiting to be found. The decoy is 15” in length, 6 ½” in width and about 6” tall without the stand. The stand has been cut out of a 2 ½’ square block of wood. The head is loose and missing its eyes. The beak still has some color in it but the head has lost its paint and the black with green tint painted body has a full length crack on the top surface and some losses of finish and material from years of use. It is a great old duck with a ton of character and history. This may not be in good enough condition for some collectors, but it is a great decorating item for your home.
