Here we have a rare Northern Song Dynasty cizhou kiln dragon pillow circa 960 to 1127 AD.

The head rest of trefoil form incised with a fierce dragon and decorated in black slip. The base in the form of a pentagon.

There are no repairs or damage this ancient pillow is intact displaying beautifully.

It measures approximately 5 5/16" tall by 9 5/8" wide by 9 1/4" deep (135mm x 245mm x 235mm).

This is a superb piece making a luxurious display for a home decorated with Asian and Chinese decor and fine art.
