Here we have an exceptional Majiayao culture vessel or storage container crafted circa 2600BC

The designs are organic in inspiration painted in slip over the stoneware.

It measures approximately 7 1/16" tall by 7 7/8" wide by 7 1/2" deep (180mm x 200mm x 190mm)

This stone age artifact is intact and without repair. To the top rim a minor unevenness to the rim possibly a small chip or possibly from original firing almost five millennia ago. The slip decorations show age commensurate alteration as does the surface of the stoneware vessel with light concretions from burial. It presents beautifully.
