Here we have a small and elegant Song Dynasty longquan celadon altar vase.

The base displaying sesame seed spur marks from where the vase was supported in the kiln and inscription also appears. Across the whole a consistent greenish blue color covers the vase. To the mouth and foot the vase is bound in gilt metal over time verdigris has formed complex patterns to the gilded metal in deep greens and reds.

The vase measures 8 1/16" tall by 3 3/4" wide approximately (20.5cm x 9.5cm)

It is intact and without repair displaying beautifully. The proportions are elegant and lovely so typical of this period as is the gorgeous color.
