For sale is an antique, probably 19th century, Pennsylvania folk art tole painted tin document box that I acquired from a sale in that area. It has black japanning, and is hand painted in a floral design on the front, with added flourishes on the sides and lid. I think that the tole painting may be original, but I'm not absolutely positive. The box measures about 8 3/4" long, 5" tall not including the wire handle, and 4 1/4" wide. It is in nice, but definitely antique condition, with paint wear and scratches, but no dents. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a terrific addition to your primitive decor!
