For sale is a fabulous antique Victorian huswif or sewing roll-up/pocket that I acquired from a dealer friend in New York state. The outside is brown leather, and the inside is primarily pink and black checked taffeta, with a pink and white bow at the top, and 2 layers of white flannel on the bottom that still holds some tiny needles. However, what makes this piece extra special is the note pinned on the bottom layer that says "No rose with Mary can compare, Give me thy heart, and I'll live there". In addition, a pin cushion folds out on the left side, and there are still pins inserted on the sides. The huswif is in very nice antique condition, with nice signs of age, but no significant issues. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a terrific addition to your collection of vintage/antique sewing items!
