For sale is a wonderful antique late 19th to early 20th century Pennsylvania schoolgirl practice sampler that I acquired at a large antique market in Columbus, Ohio. It is done in red and cream on homespun linen, exhibiting the maker's skill in a variety of needlework techniques, including crocheting, gathering, and buttonholes. At the bottom there are the initials "B.F", and there are 2 hook and eye closures on the back. The sampler measures about 28" x 11", and is in nice antique condition, with some minor stains that might soak out, but no holes or rips. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a great addition to your collection of antique needlework and/or textiles that would be wonderful in a period frame!
