I was not familiar with this designer but was immediately attracted to this bracelet while shopping at an antique market in Paris. After researching, I found that the mark, St Tropez with the letters GAS, is for Andre Gas, the designer. Creamy beige enameled lily pads with a tiny seed pearl in the center with clusters of pink rhinestones down the middle of this lovely bracelet. The base metal is silvertone and the closure clasp is a fold-over and works very well. Very well-made piece in excellent vintage condition.
Size: 7 x 1 inches
In the 1960s on Saint Tropez’s beaches André Gas used to walk selling the jewelry he handmade. He began his own family business in the late 1960s and continues today. His children now help him run the business and his pieces are in high-end department stores around the world.
