This early twentieth century country quilt was discovered in Southern Michigan. It is a scrap bag creation, utilizing fabrics dating from as early as the 1880's through about 1930. The complex design of triangles is called "Flock of Geese." The quilt has never been washed; therefore, never used. It has a few brown stains, shown in the photographs, resulting from having been stored in a wooden chest for many years. The colors are unfaded. It was pieced and quilted entirely by hand. This quilt is 100% cotton and may be washed and dried gently. This beautiful Midwestern quilt, with its dynamic design and bright colors, would add an element of "country" to your home. It was photographed on a full-size bed and measures 68" X 90." It was designed for a 3/4 bed and fits a twin very nicely.
