Estee Lauder Early Solid Perfume Compact - "Empire" - 1973. Goldtone sunburst case enhanced with a central imitation lapis cabochon. Could be worn either way around, because the back is as beautiful as the front. Locket from compact is suspended from a 24 inch long goldtone chain. Locket is a bold 2" in diameter. The name Estee Lauder is stamped on a plaque inside the lid.
Very good preowned vintage condition. Exterior has only small spots of age appropriate patina and no damage or wear whatsoever. Solid perfume glace seems to be mostly intact but we can't tell if it's been used. Still smells very pleasant, although it has dried to some degree and has shrunk away from the edges of the case. Friction catch holds the item securely closed.
Please note: Our photos are taken with a high definition closeup lens. The pictures you see are the equivalent of looking at the piece through a strong magnifying glass and may show flaws that are not apparent to the naked eye. We do not deep clean vintage items and some items may have age appropriate patina or tarnish, especially in the deep recesses. Please examine all photographs as they are your best indicator as to appearance and condition.
