This little fellow is 4" long including his tail and 2.75" tall. He still has his original sticker marked Handwork Kunstlerchutz West Germany with stylized FW on the original paper label flocked body. Wager Handwork Kunstlerchutz (Fritz Wager arts & Crafts) was established in the late 1940's & closed in 1998. Wager produced animals under the traditional German method using wood, plaster, clay and paper mache and covering them with wool or other fiber like flocking for Christmas nativity and village scenes known as Putz scenes. In their early years, they produced animals and wind up toys for Max Carl toys. Smoke free.
