This may be the most important painting that Harold Newton (American 1934-1994) ever created. Harold Newton is one of the very first Florida Highwaymen, and is considered by many to be the most gifted of all the Florida Highwaymen. This wonderful painting was published in Rosetta Newton Humphries book "Harold Newton-The Man Behind The Art". Harold Newton's brother Sam Newton
had this painting in his gallery on display. Obviously this is a very different subject matter that what Harold Newton and almost all Florida Highwaymen painted. The mountains are beautiful, and the colors of the water and the sky exquisite.
