This old paper booklet is from the 3rd Pillsbury Grand National Bake-Off contest which was held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York where 100 contestants vied for the prestige and prize money in the yearly event which was host by Art Linkletter. The book is prefaced by Ann Pillsbury

The book is filled with easy to follow recipes, glossy black and white and colored pictures and stories about the contest, celebrities and the contestants as well as advertising of the period. The original price of the soft cover cookbook was 25c. At this contest the Grand Prize winner of $25,000.00 was Mrs. Weston with her Starlight Double Delight Cake.

It measures about 5 15/16” by 8 7/8” and has 96 pages including the index. It is in generally good condition with light edge, corner and crease wear and minor stains.
