4th Grand National Pillsbury Bake-Off Recipe Booklet -1952 First Edition - image 1 of 7

This old paper booklet is from the 4thrd Pillsbury Grand National Bake-Off contest which was held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York where 100 contestants vied for the prestige and prize money in the yearly event which was host by Art Linkletter and it’s funny to see that only one man was in the competition. The book is prefaced by Ann Pillsbury

The book is filled with easy to follow recipes, glossy black and white and colored pictures and stories about the contest, celebrities and the contestants. The original price of the soft cover cookbook was 25c. At this contest the Grand Prize winner of $25,000.00 was Mrs. Peter S. Harlib with her Snappy Turtle Cookies.

It measures about 5 ¼” by 8 3/16” and has 96 pages including the index. It is in very nice condition with minimal edge, corner and crease wear.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
