My parents purchased this Antique Primitive Early American Shaker Pine Wood Rocking Butter Churn in New England in the 1970's. It is thought to be Shaker.
It has a beautiful form and functions very well too - it rocks easily and evenly. You can still use it today to make butter. It's more efficient and much easier to use than the plunger type butter churns.
Made of pine and dates to the late 1800's. Patina and wear consistent with its age and use.
Measures 33 3/4" wide by 26.5" tall by 15.25" deep.
33.75ʺW × 15.25ʺD × 26.5ʺH
