For sale here is a LOVELY vintage 1930s Art Deco copper and Bakelite geometric design with foliate decoration "Cosmopolitan" hinged lid box by the Chase Brass and Copper Company of Waterbury, CT. Probably originally designed to hold cigarettes, this box works well on the desk top to hold small desk items like paper clips, pencils and erasers, other odds and ends, etc. A truly lovely design hand worked in copper with handmade Bakelite wedge at the end. Measures 5-1/8" long by 3-1/8" wide by 1-1/4" tall. Weighs 219.1 grams total. Marked at the bottom as shown with the standard Chase marks. Excellent vintage condition with fine light wear including some edge wear as is expected with an item nearly 100 years old and that was actually used by the original owner as shown - please view the photos, read the description, and ask all questions prior to purchase.
