Portrait of a Woman – French School – Circa 1760

Portrait of a bourgeois or aristocratic woman during the reign of Louis XV. She is shown in three-quarter view, seated in an armchair, wearing an elegant red-orange dress with blue ribbons and lace cap. She holds a fan on her lap. Anonymous French School work produced circa 1760-70. Oil on canvas, restored and relined. Mounted in a 19th century wooden and gilded stucco frame.

Condition: Very good condition.
Dimensions: 73 x 54 cm. / 28 ¾ x 21 ¼ in.
Frame: 91 x 71 cm. / 36 x 28 in. Gilt frame, very good condition.
