A very rare French bebe, just 12" tall, marked BT, a Bebe Triomphe by Fleischmann & Bloden, with an incredible carved wooden fully jointed, very posable body, blue glass paper weight eyes, a slightly open mouth with teeth. The doll dates to 1898; I found it on page 200, volume 1, of the French Dolls Encyclopedia.
She has a pretty long blonde mohair French wig, a very beautiful face, and dainty painting of eyelashes and facial coloring. She is wearing a pink satin bebe dress and white leather shoes with heels and buckles on the toes. French lace pantalettes are under the vintage dress. She also has a vintage ecru lace cap.
Condition: Excellent. Beautiful bisque without any hairlines or damage. Wonderful vintage wood fully jointed and very posable body. Beautiful vintage French clothing and shoes. Long vintage blonde mohair wig.
