Pastoral scene Lovers Peasant Couple
Chromolithograph circa 1920
44.3 x 34 cm 17.44 x 13.38 inches
Good condition.
Chromolithography was a technique of edition invented around 1840 to challenge the technique of etching and woodcut, as it revealed to be less expensive.
It had a considerable success, as well as developing advertisement with posters, as for reproducing paintings at a low cost : still lifes, lanscapes, portraits, genre scenes, became very popular elements of decoration for the home.

Very decorative and sensitive.
