This old maple frame has interesting turned finials and spindles. It was probably originally made to hold a small mirror or some type of art work, which has been replaced with a thin, black painted piece of wood. As a chalkboard, it would be very nice in a kitchen. Great for writing down memos or things you need to pick up when shopping.
The wood shows signs of use with old nail holes - mainly concentrated on the bottom piece. There are 2 loops on the back for picture wire should you wish to hang it. It could also simply rest on a shelf or counter.
The frame is 29 1/2 inches tall and 16 1/4 inches wide. The chalkboard area is 16 inches tall and 8 3/4 inches wide.
