Superb condition Victorian 1800's Celluloid Box used for collars and cuffs. The lovely decorated box measures 8" wide by 7" deep and it is 5" tall. The exterior is in excellent condition with nice embossing patterns. The color of the box is several shades of brown. very intricate raised lettering in a cream color on the top says "Collars and Cuffs" with pretty scrolls and flowers. This lettering is in fabulous condition and beautiful work. There is a brass front closure in working condition. The box has its original brass hinges.
The inside is gold silk fabric in very good condition. Only one small tear in the fold over one hinge. The fabric is pleated in the top lid. The collar circle is intact. The bottom has its original paper cover.
There is a lot of Victorian elegance in this outstanding Celluloid Vanity Dresser Gentleman's Box. It will only increase in value.
