We are selling this great and rare English sword. This sword is the Officers Special version of the 1796 Pattern of light Cavalry Sabre. It has extra elaborate gilt decoration on the base of the blade, as well as some nicks in the blade possibly from battle. The handle bears the Sterling Silver makers marks of Osborn & Gunby and dates to 1806-1807 period.

Condition:The sword doesn't fit all the way down in the scabbard. General overall wear due to age and use including nicks in the blade from battle potentially.
