This large planter was made by Red Wing and is marked on the bottom. It is their Tropicana pattern with a beautiful burgundy exterior and light gray interior. This pattern is designed with a floral panel on the front which includes 3 sunflower shaped blooms. It was made in the 1950's or 60's. The planter measures approximately 14 inches long and 4 ¾ inches tall. It has some crazing visible on the interior. There is also a hairline crack. The crack can be seen on the interior and top edge but does not appear to continue down the side on the exterior. It is shown in the last 2 pictures. The line on the top is harder to see so that picture was taken with a bright light shining on the planter. If you blow up the picture you will see the light also reveals some crazing that is not visible with the naked eye. This is a pretty vintage planter in a harder to find color. It would be great to use in a sun room, on the front porch or in an enteryway.
