This Art Deco looking camera was made by the Universal Camera Corp or New York in 1936 and apparently retailed for a little less than $10. It is a Model A-8 Univex 8MM Cine Camera and is small and portable measuring approx. 4" x 3.25" x 1.5” with an ILEX - UNIVAR F:5.6 lens from the Ilex Optical Company of Rochester, NY. It holds approx. 30 feet of film and still has film in it that has never been developed. There is an exposure table on the outside of an Art Deco etched plate and a film meter on one side of the camera. It is a great collectors piece.
Camera seems to be in working condition, however due to the fact that there is still film in it the camera has not been manipulated much to preserve the film. It is in great condition for its age. No signs of damage. Moderate wear from age, but overall in excellent condition. Please refer to images.
