A pair of Earthenware Han Dynasty men figures. Naked and armless the figures began with wooden arms and cloth garments in the Han Dynasty ( 206 B.C.--220 A.D.)Added to royal burials to attend the body. Painted in flesh tones with details painted on, these have slight traces of original paint colors, black in the hair, and slight pinkish colors to the body. Now museum mounted with metal sleeves through the heels to hold to setting pins in the wooden block stands. Measurements of each, 5.5" by 5" base and 24.5" tall, the second is 6" by 5.5" base and 24" tall.
