Wooden shrine box with the polychromed surface of red and gilt Buddhist scrolling motifs. Enclosed is a 19th-century TSA TSA of Mahakala on a high throne. Polychromed clay of the Great Black Mahakala from Tibet late 19th to early 20th century. Cushioned in silk cloth to the inside with a glass panel in front. Sliding wooden panel in the back. The size is 3.9" wide by 2.9" and 6.4" tall. Very lively and beautifully colored.
