Fine made and beautiful Han or Tang animal form container. Made in the lost-wax technique the figure has a carbonized core inside most of the body. The exterior has a jeweled ornamental surface with several of the jewels on the back as glass or crystal beads. The face with beaded eyes and third eye, the lid with crystal beads and small attachment hole aligning with the same in the body. The whole creates a charming and lively little animal. The size is 6" wide and 3.25" deep. 4" tall.
