Large and beautiful Indian Spice box ( KUMKUM). Great quality modeling and assembled in a set of Parvati Faces each an individual face in a like expression. Each with a wide smile and teeth in front. 8 smaller boxes around a central large face. Hinged faces over bowls with red enamel lining. painted hair. 9 boxes in a circular pattern, the whole raised on three hands to carry the design with great emphasis on ornamental open space and linear details. Handmade and joined. (see details photos of the underside). The size is 10" by 11.5" and 7.5" tall.
This is a very magical bronze in many ways. Very impressive. Very nice construction solidly made, and easily opened and closed. Dark natural bronze( ebony color) patina.
