We are selling this extremely rare early 19th century bronze. This Italian bronze if of the Allegorical figure of Architecture after the original by Giambologna as attributed by the signed example in the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. This example appears to have originally been fully silvered and the silver shows through in some spots on the brown patina. The piece is probably early 19th or 18th century. The same model of Giambologna sold at Sotheby's in April of 2021 as part of Tomasso: The more a Thing is Perfect. Tomasso are some of the world leaders in Renaissance Bronzes.
Condition: Some surface wear, patches of silver show through the patina in areas. Missing an attribute in the left hand.
