This beautiful wall tapestry has been in the family for the last 70 years. Sadly, I have no idea how old it really is, or if it is an antique at all and therefore I have only listed it as a vintage piece. It is apparently a seemingly classic scene, or eve two scenes mixed together, that of the loving couple and the other of the shepherdess.
Because it has been hanging in a dry and well cleaned room for all these years the condition, front and back, is very good indeed. It would appear too that the colours have not faded in any dramatic manner as they are all very vivid today.
