Anton Beutlich had a long and illustrious decorating career at Pickard Studio of Chicago starting in 1898 and stretching as late as 1922. Of German ancestry but born in Norway in 1870, Beutlich emigrated to the U.S. in 1885. By accident, Beutlich came to Chicago on a special Train Fare of only $1.00 ! Beutlich was an accomplished Painter & Portraitist and ran his own Studio from 1891 through 1913. Like so many Professional Artist of his day he ran or worked several businesses at one time.......including his own China Decorating Studio and stints at Pickard Studio of Chicago over some 24 years. Beutlich was an exceptional decorator and created the "Peaches Linear" while at Pickard. An unfortunate accident in 1925 resulted where Betulich died of burns. Alan Reed in his Pickard Collectors Book has an extensive Bio on this wonderful Artist, as well as some ten Photo examples of his outstanding works.

The beautiful vintage Haviland & Pickard Studio hand painted Christmas Plate, which measures about 6" wide has been exceptionally decorated with lifelike and colorful Christmas "Holly & Berry". Background colors cream and an elegant outer border of green laced with extensive 22 K Gold.

The wonderful vintage Haviland & Pickard Studio hand painted "Holly & Berry" Christmas Plate is in exceptional condition and totally damage free. The extensive and bright 22 K Gold is MINT !

The charming hand painted "Holly & Berry" Christmas Plate displays an early "Haviland France" mark as well as Pickard Studio Mark # 4, used from 1903-1905. The Pickard Artist, "Anton Beutlich" decorated and signed this wonderful piece of Art.

Terribly hard to find in Holly & Berry, the Pickard Studio vintage Plate will make a nice addition for your Collection.
