Fabulous England Minton 1900 Hand Painted "Petite Red Roses" 12" Pedestal Tea Pot Made Especially for "Higgins & Seiter New York"

The Austrian Hunt Scene Holly & Berry Tankard was made especially for the Higgins & Seiter Store located at 53-55 West 21st Street, New York, NY. around the turn of the 19th Century. Higgins & Seiter was organized just after the Civil War and by 1887 sold only the highest grade and costliest Items imported from Europe. Business was so very good, that the company bought 3 homes.....tore them down....and built their brand new building/store front around 1901. At the time......"The New York Times" Paper stated; "as its customers some of the best known people in the City".

Unfortunately, with changing times, their location, and changing demographics, the Store closed in 1915 after some 50 years of successful business.

Just stunning is this vintage English Minton, circa 1900, hand painted Pedestal Floral Tea Pot.

The gorgeous vintage Minton hand painted Pedestal Floral Tea Pot, which measures about 12" tall, has been elaborately decorated with "Petite Red Roses" against a white background. The incredible Minton Tea Pot has been elaborately decorated from top to bottom with bright, near mint, 22 K Gold...........adding greatly to its beauty. The beautiful vintage Minton hand painted "Petite Red Roses" Pedestal Floral Tea Pot is in excellent overall condition with the exception of the finial that at one time had been repaired (see last Photo). The extensive and bright 22 K Gold is just exceptional !

The charming vintage hand painted "Petite Red Roses" Pedestal Floral Tea Pot displays an early "Minton" Mark and also shows that it was Made Especially for "Higgins & Seiter New York".
