This is a beautiful first edition copy of the classic book “Mary Brooks Picken Method of Sewing Modern Dresses”. It was published in 1925 by The Pictorial Review Company of New York. It is a very nicely bound book with cloth boards and a gilt title on the front cover. The binding is solid, and the cover and pages are clean. There is a very small amount of wear on the bottom of the spine and the corners of the front and back cover. Inside, the pages are clean and crisp. There are 98 pages and the book is filled with photos, sketches and drawings. There is also an original letter enclosed from the publisher to the original owner of the book. The letter states that the book was a gift from the publisher. This is a classic book that covers the details of sewing and dressmaking. It is very difficult to find a copy of this book in such nice condition. It will be a wonderful addition to any collection of crafts books.
