Anybody who collects tools always hopes to have some folding rules in their collection. We are offering a collection of 3 such rules. They are all box wood and brass, 24-inch folding rules. One is marked “No 68 Stanley”. It also says, “Stanley Rule & Level Co New Britain, Conn. U.S.A.”, and “Warranted Boxwood”. It is in good useable and collectible condition. The second one is labeled No 61 Stanley”. It also says, “Stanley Rule & Level Co New Britain, Conn. U.S.A.”, and “Warranted Boxwood”. This one has darkened more than the first one, showing more signs of past usage, and it has a light-colored splotch of paint on it that can be seen in some of the photos. We suspect that the paint could be removed if the new owner is willing to put in the time. The third rule is unmarked. The construction is identical to the other two rules. This rule has an A side and a B side. The A side, the outside, is very dark because of years of grease and grime. The B side, the inside, is much brighter, cleaner, and easier to read. We obtained them as a set and will sell them as a set. They all fold exactly as originally intended. They are shop-worn, but still have life left in them. What a nice instant collection.
