A fine impressionist interior scene inside the studio of Louis Kronberg, painting a ballet dancer, by well known American artist Arthur Clifton Goodwin (1864-1929). Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Goodwin lived and worked most of his life in Massachusetts and New York, best known for his street and waterfront scenes. Oil on canvas, signed lower center, titled on verso Vose Galleries (Boston) label “Louis Kronberg In His Studio,1914” along with a Fenway Art Center (Boston) label, and housed in a decorative molded giltwood frame. Dimensions: 21.5 in H x 25.5 in W, actual;30.5 in H x 34.5 in Wx 1.5 in D, framed. Ref: 8
