A wonderful hard to find example of a staved wooden oyster bucket or firkin with metal bands in old green paint, probably by Atwood, Boston (typically stenciled on the side) with wood and metal bail handle, and metal hinged lid with old period lock & key. This bucket dates to circa 1900 and is in very good overall condition, with great patina, minor paint losses, and wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: Approximately 12 ¾” H x 12” diameter at top, 13 ¼” diameter at base. Ref: 153
