A 19th century country French plate rack from Normandy. Made of solid dark stained chestnut, this "dressoir" was used to display and store plates. Very sturdy, with all pegged construction. The bottom plank has been replaced. Overall dimensions: 85" H x 51" W (53" W at crown) x 9.25" D (13.25" D at feet). The inside depth of the shelves is 8". Shown with a collection of 9" plates, sold separately.
