This is such an interesting antique oil lamp. The font is made from an early Chinese Export hand painted pottery vessel and the lamp itself is hand made from brass. It has a primitive, naive style yet is well made. The chimney has many, many bubbles in the hand blown glass and a smooth indent on the top from when it was made, the bottom has some roughness and a small chip.. There is no filler opening so you need to remove the burner to fill it, the 2 knobs on the bottom were probably use to fill the weighted bottom, they are stationary, see photos. Overall dimensions are 16 1/2" high with the chimney, 9 3/8" without it. The Oil Lamp is in good condition. The burner has dents and losses, see closeup photos. The Oil lamp would be perfect in an antique primitive decor.
