Gorgeous Austrian center bowl, hand painted with colorful parrot tulips against a deep background and wide gold rim. The tulip petals have raised white enamel accents on their yellow, magenta, blue, purple, orange, and green petals against yellow and umber grounds. The artist has painted a wide, heavy gold border around the rim and signed the piece, Jann. The plaque measures 10" in diameter and is marked O. & E. G. Royal Austria, used by Oscar & Edgar Gutherz from 1899 until 1918, with the pattern name, Orchideco, in gold. Good condition with no chips or cracks, some gold wear from handling around the outer edge, some light wear under the large tulip, and some fading or small whitish spots at 10 and 3 o'clock. Condition is reflected in the sale price. This bowl has a matching wall plaque that is listed separately in my shop.
