This nicely solid cast pair of Central European brass taper sticks is in very good condition with normal wear commensurate with age and use. The taper stick was used at a desk for melting wax used to seal letters and documents and the pair date to the mid 19th century, circa 1860. They are 5.0 in. tall, by 2.125 in. diameter at base.
