Take a look at this fabulous cabinet sized Jumeau in her silk and lace frock. This is a fabulous girl with her darling, classic Jumeau face. How can you possibly say no to her? Her clear blue paperweight eyes full of wonder, her rosy cheeks and her open mouth are representative of the classic Jumeau Bebe of the late 1800s . If you are fond of gorgeous French bebes, large or small, don't hesitate to make this sweetheart yours! I know that this darling little girl will be sold in a flash, so grab her up before she is GONE for good and you are left out in the cold dreaming of the one that got away.

We are offering her with the opportunity to put her on layaway for up to 6 months!

She has a wonderful poured bisque socket head with blue paperweight eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, multi stroke brows, an open mouth with four upper teeth, and pierced ears. She stands at 15” on her original fully jointed wood and composition body, and wears a light brown human hair wig, in curls with bangs.

She is dressed in an antique royal blue silk dress, with a white lace collar, lace overlay on the cuffs and waist, a lace-trimmed chevron placket down the front with four blue and gold buttons, and white lace overlay on the skirt, with petal-like lace lappets over it, and a pink and blue flower applique at the waist. Underneath, she wears an antique half slip with tucks and lace trim, a pair of lace-trimmed pantaloons, and a white cotton chemise. On her feet are a pair of off-white knit socks and antique black oilcloth shoes. On her head is a tan velvet hat decorated with gold metallic ribbon, lavender silk flowers, and a large blue feather; in her ears are a pair of faceted red glass bead earrings with gold-tone hardware.

MARKS: 5 [incised, back of head]
4 [red stamp, back of head]

CONDITION: The bisque head is free of any cracks, chips, hairlines, or restoration, and features expert molding and painting of a classic Jumeau face. Her blue glass eyes are aligned well in the head. Her original body has some areas of wear, but retains much of its original shiny finish. The costume is excellent, with very little age-wear, though the lace is significantly discolored. Don’t let her innocent face become just a memory!!!

*Please note that the price shown for this doll was calculated by factoring in the doll’s condition carefully. The doll’s condition is described fully in the "Condition" paragraph above. Any damage or flaws are carefully evaluated as to the manner in which they may reduce the retail value of this item. Unless there is some major issue we overlooked in the condition report, we decline to entertain any proposals for price reductions due to a less than perfect condition report. Most dolls that are over 100 years old will have encountered issues over the years and perfection is rare when it comes to antiques.
