Handsome Sterling Silver Running Medal for a Relay Race - circa 1920's / 30's - image 1 of 7

Here's a sterling silver medal given for first prize in a relay race in the 1920's or 30's. It was made by the Klimpl Medal Company in New York City. It measures 1 3/8" in diameter and weighs 17.2 grams. On the back it's engraved "1st Relay Race" and also has the maker Klimpl and their address. It's also marked - sterling.

The medal has beautifully detailed relief of a handsome runner. It's a wonderful medal to add to a collection, or to wear as a pendant or on a key ring or on a bag.
