Here's a stunning 3 piece sterling silver coffee set made by James Robinson of New York City. This elegant store has been around since 1912 selling antiques, jewelry and silver. For decades they have also sold a line of silver that is made in London, England for them. This coffee set was made for them in 1962. It's very heavy and beautifully made in a classic colonial style. The handsome wooden handle looks wonderful and makes pouring very comfortable.

Each of the 3 pieces in this set is hallmarked. The coffee pot is fully hallmarked on the side, and also has hallmarks on the top, and on the flap over the spout. The date letter on each piece is 1962, and the leopard head shows that it was made in London. It is further marked on the bottom "James Robinson Inc. New York" and "Made in England".

The weight of this set is remarkable - it weighs 42.84 troy ounces. It always a surprise when you pick up any piece and see how heavy it is. It could be used for coffee or chocolate too. What a wonderful piece of craftsmanship these are, elegant as can be.
