Here's a very handsome double stamp box from the Edwardian period circa 1910. It's made of clear lead crystal glass and gilt embossed brass. The edges of the glass are all beautifully beveled. The top has an applied floral garland with a bow at each end. Additionally the whole top has an embossed pattern of tiny flowers. Inside the slots for the stamps have a gentle upward curve to make them easy to remove. The box is 2 7/8" long by 2" wide and 1 1/4" high. The condition is very good. The glass is clear glass, the background and lighting don't necessarily show that.
This is a particularly nice stamp box - perfect for a collection or to add elegance to any desk.
