Here's a bronze medal issued in 1904 for the St. Louis Worlds Fair in its original box. It was designed by artist A. A. Weiman and is signed with his name on the medal. Adolph Alexander Weiman was a Germany-born American sculptor and architectural sculptor - he designed the mercury dime among many other things.

The fair was in honor of the centennial of the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. The opening of the fair was supposed to be in 1903, however it opened in 1904 due to delays of the enormous project.

The medal is approximately 2 1/2" in diameter and in very good condition. The box is in good overall condition as well, but the lid has a slight split at each of the 2 front corners. Please see photos.

This is a very good example of the beautiful St. Louis Fair medal - to get it in its original box is particularly great.
