Here's a royal commemorative for Edward VIII. He reigned over Britain from January 1936 to December 10, 1936, when he abdicated. He abdicated in order to marry Wallis Simpson. This is a souvenir of his coronation that never happened. His brother, King George VI became king as soon as Edward Abdicated.
The calendar is complete and never used. It is 9 1/4" long from the ring to the bottom of the calendar. The round section is 6" in diameter. The condition is very good - just a tiny spot on the first page of the calendar (see photo). The ribbons needs a slight adjustment if one wanted to hang it so that the calendar is perfectly straight.
Something fairly unusual among British royal commemoratives. The coronation date on the calendar is May 12, 1937 and that is the date that his brother was crowned instead.
